The competition, organised by Timber Queensland in association with the Timber Development Association, aims to promote and encourage outstanding timber design among built environment professionals.

Since the first awards in 2000, the competition has seen a trebling of entries from across the country.

Categories include new homes and renovations, apartments and resorts, plus public and commercial buildings. Awards are also presented for structural, interiors (featuring wood veneer), exterior and other special categories. The event is designed to show timber’s versatility in design, while also focusing on environmental commitment and sustainability.

Award presentations will be made at the Four Points Hotel, Sydney in November.
