St Petersburg-based Ilim, one of the world’s top 10 largest sawn timber producers, said its wood products output increased to 2.56 million m3 in 2012 (2011: 2.3 million m3).

Sawn timber output from the Ust-Ilimsk sawmill in Russa, Ilim Nordic Timber and Ilim Timber Bavaria (both former Klausner mills in Germany) and the Tolleson Perry and Tolleson Preston mills in the US, totalled 2.28 million m3 (2011: 2.03 million m3).

Plywood and hardboard production in the Russia-based panels division was 280,000m3, the same level as 2011. Ilim’s total annual sales were US$710m up from US$670m in 2011.
