The company’s waste timber has been used in art and craft projects by organisations that work with youth groups and the disabled, and to build a dance studio at an academy school in Harlow.
Timber waste has also been sent to Sierra Leone to help build huts and homes.
"The Phoenix Resource Centre takes in an average of 30 tonnes of waste per week, and we’re proud that we can contribute," said Gary Waller, health, safety and environmental manager at Leaderflush Shapland.
