Haydocks has signed a deal to supply more than 1,000 doors a year for Halton’s homes. Halton said one of the reasons it chose Haydocks was because it employed local people.
"We’ve always supported the local economy in terms of recruitment," added Andrew Haydock, director of Haydocks.
"We’ve had a site here since 1967 and in past decades we have employed several generations of the same family. The new contract means that we can expand and look ahead to the future as it’s an ongoing partnership.
"The partnership is ideal because all the Trust’s properties are within a short drive from the Mersey View Road depot."
