"We’re very pleased with the current level of bookings, but obviously it means that anyone thinking of exhibiting should come to us soon to make sure they get a space," said Loretta Sales, event director for the show, which takes place at its new home, the Birmingham NEC, from September 24-25.
"We have a range of different stand areas left, but also a number of other companies expressing a strong interest in attending."
She added that this year’s show featured a wide range of exhibitors, from timber and timber frame, through coatings and finishes, adhesives machinery and engineered wood suppliers.
"And we’ve got a stronger representation of overseas exhibitors than ever, with the NEC and its proximity to Birmingham International airport being an obvious attraction," said Ms Sales. "Among them we have a Bolivian national pavilion for the first time."
In particular, Timber Expo has been encouraging exhibitors to set up "showcase stands", especially featuring "impressive structures", to highlight the wide-ranging capabilities of latest timber and wood products.
"The more timber we can have on display at Timber Expo in as many applications as possible, the better it will be for the show and the industry," said Ms Sales.
