A joinery manufacturer and shopfitter which lists Harrods and Selfridges among its clients has achieved Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) chain of custody certification.

Northampton-based Deane & Amos sought certification, through BM TRADA Certification Ltd’s TRADA-Trak scheme, at the behest of long-standing customer Nationwide Building Society.

The company sources a wide range of timber and wood products, including American cherry, Canadian rock maple, MDF and specialist plywood.

Managing director Jeremy Sykes said: “There is no doubt that some FSC products are more readily available than others, but we are working closely with out suppliers to achieve our environmental targets.”
