The Swedish Forest Industries Federation said shipments for the year to July were down 6%, compared with 2012.

The UK remained the largest customer at 1.3 million m3 of sawn and planed softwood for the first seven months of the year, down 4.7% overall. Planed softwood exports to the UK rose 3.5% to 802,600m3.

The average value of Swedish exports to all countries in July was SKr1,929/m3, up less than 1%.
