The system uses the best of timber frame and SIPs technology, combined with advanced materials science. As well as delivering high thermal efficiency it is also environmentally friendly – its factory-injected insulation derives from recycled vegetable oil.

More than 1,500 homes have been built using Val-U-Therm since its launch in 2011.

Val-U-Therm managing director Bryan Woodley said Timber Expo had been a good way to achieve brand recognition and that goal had been reached.

"We’ve had some credible and encouraging leads," he said. "While we may not have seen the quantity of visitors we would have liked, we’ve seen the quality to achieve our expectations."

"We’ve had enquiries from a good mix of visitors asking about the system and how it works," said Terry Green, business development manager at Flight Timber Structures.

"They liked the fact that there are system designers who also manufacture and install the product."
