Mr Moore, MP for Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk, toured the 18,000ft2 facility and commended Oregon for continuing to build its business in the Scottish Borders.
"I wish Oregon every success with its plans to expand its market share in the English housing market," said Mr Moore.
The new factory, financed without a loan, has opened just a year after Oregon expanded into the English market by starting a 20,000ft2 operation in Burton-upon-Trent.
"This expansion marks an important step in Oregon’s development as a company, and we have worked hard to weather the downturn in newbuild housing and to be ready to respond to recovery," said Oregon chairman Rod Lawson.
The new Selkirk operation and the Burton factory represent a 50% increase in manufacturing capacity for Oregon.
