The release of the professional and educational versions of Teretron is primarily aimed at structural engineers, architects, architectural technologists and timber product manufacturers.
The Rope Effect says Teretron enables the design of cross-sections, flexural members, compression members, notched beams, single tapered beams, double-tapered/curved and pitched-cambered beams and connections (including steel to timber).
The application also supports design in solid timber, glulam, LVL and plywood.
An expanded version, including multi-span components, beams of composite cross-sections and built-up columns is under development, with a planned release in March.
