Managing director Nick Palmer said Mr Goodlad had been closely involved with the operation in Kirkcaldy since 2007 and the appointment recognised his contribution to the company and the importance it placed on the future success of its Scottish business unit.
"Steve will continue to be responsible for expanding our operation north of the border, helping us to become the largest saw manufacturer and servicing provider in Scotland," Mr Palmer said.
Mr Goodlad started work in 1979 as a 16-year-old apprentice woodworking machinist at James Donaldson & Sons Ltd. He worked through the ranks from mill foreman to production manager and completed 20 years’ service.
Before joining EPS he worked for Wadkin UK (Europe) Ltd as the area sales manager covering Scotland and the north of England.
EPS Services & Tooling, which has bases in Kirkcaldy and Wiveliscombe in Somerset, specialises in the manufacture and servicing of wide bandsaws and cutting tools for the UK timber industry.
