The dramatic surge in demand following the winter storms led the company to issue a statement, telling the market that there was insufficient UK fence panel production capacity to meet the demand.
This, it added, meant retailers and merchants were faced with the reality of reduced fence panel availability "for some time to come".
Forest Garden is also receiving more business from customers who have had trouble sourcing product from their normal fence panel manufacturing suppliers. Some smaller producers have had to cease production because of raw material shortages caused by the intense demand for timber across several sectors.
