DLH Timber (UK) Ltd has obtained Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) chain of custody certification for the purchase and sale of certified hardwoods.

The Kent-based agent said the award was in line with the long-term objective of the DLH Group’s environmental policy to ensure the wood products it trades in originate from forests which are independently verified as being sustainably managed.

Stuart Palmer, managing director of DLH Timber (UK), said: ‘I am of course delighted that we have achieved FSC certification and I envisage immediate benefits from both Poland and Brazil.’

FSC accreditation was achieved through the Qualifor Quality Forest Management programme.
