Around 72% of visitors are walkers and 8% are cyclists, with the remainder enjoying leisure pursuits such as sightseeing and wildlife watching.
Scotland’s national forests are also contributing to the tourism economy as it is estimated that around 77% of people spend money during their forest trip.
