The award was presented by architect and TV presenter George Clarke at the TTJ Awards ceremony yesterday before an audience of 370 people.
It is the fourth consecutive year that James Latham has secured the top prize and the ninth time since the Awards started.
Other winners were Rowlinson Timber Ltd for Softwood Trader of the Year; Timbmet for Hardwood Trader of the Year; Lawcris Panel Products for Panels Trader of the Year; Caledonian Plywood Co for Plywood Trader of the Year; and Unilin for the new category of Flooring Trader of the Year.
C Blumsom Ltd won the Small Business of the Year award, and Daltons Wadkin scooped the Website of the Year category.
Hess Timber had double success as its Hess Hyrbid product won both the Achievement in Engineered Timber Award and the Innovative Product Development category of the Timber Innovation Award.
The Innovative Market Development category of the Timber Innovation Award went to MiTek Industries for its Pamir software.
The two winners of the Career Development Award were Josh Trigg of Pasquill in the under-25 category, and Cameron Reid of Howarth Timber & Building Supplies in the over-25 category.
The winner of the Environmental Achievement Award was Wood for Good for its LCA database, and the Excellence in Marketing Award was won by MKM Building Supplies for its Serious about timber campaign.
