Hunter’s Point South Waterfront Park won in the General Design category with its use of Kebony’s southern yellow pine for large expanses of wooden promenade.

“Sustainability was a core value in consideration during the design and construction of Hunter’s Point South Waterfront Park,” said Alison Wicks from architects Weiss/Manfredi.

“We needed a material that would continue to perform over time, without deteriorating. Kebony, with its enhanced durability and natural aestheticism was an ideal choice for the large expanse of boardwalk.”
