Price queries and specification requests could become a thing of the past at Richard Burbidge Ltd since the timber product manufacturer signed up to online product database service for the construction industry, e-Xact.

Product information of more than 3,000 items has been extracted from Richard Burbidge’s existing internal database and imported into a sample spreadsheet supplied by e-Xact.

This was then loaded onto the e-Xact database and published to e-Xact users. Richard Burbidge now sends a monthly refresh of the data to ensure users are kept abreast of any changes.

Sales director Paul Taylor said: “The immediate benefits to the company are very much customer focused. We have thousands of customers who can now receive updated information on our products at the touch of a button.”
