The event, which featured nine linked shows under one roof including Grand Designs Live, is the largest construction sector exhibition in the UK and was held at Birmingham NEC.

Organiser Media 10 said the visitor profile at UKCW included tradespeople, self-builders, architects, civil engineers, national housebuilders and interior designers.

The attendance was up from last year’s inaugural event, which attracted over 25,000 trade visitors. Exhibitors were spread across 70,000m2 of space, while seminars ran for more than 165 hours in 13 seminar theatres thanks to over 100 speakers.

“I believe the show is testament to the willingness to progress and collaborate within the construction industry as a whole,” said Nathan Garnett, event director for UK Construction Week.

He said confidence was high that UKCW would go from strength to strength over the coming years.
