Melanie Siggs has been appointed head of UK communications for UPM-Kymmene‘s UK group of companies. She will take responsibility for the group’s brand and reputation, public relations and internal communications across the UK and Ireland. The UPM-Kymmene UK group includes Shotton Paper, Caledonian Paper and Tilhill, as well as Raflactac and Walki Wisa.
Ms Siggs joined the UPM-Kymmene group in 2000, when she was appointed business development manager for Tilhill. She previously worked internationally specialising in the agriculture and fisheries industries, before a spending five years with global insurance giant Axa.
