Divisional sales were up 8.9% to €416m (Q1 2016: €382m), while deliveries grew 11.6% to 1.21 million m3.

The sales boost was also due to strategic investments in the Varkaus LVL line, the modernisation of Murów sawmill and increased cross-laminated timber volumes and prices.
The company is to invest in a biocomposite granules manufacturing line with an annual production capacity of 15,000 tonnes at its Hylte mill in Sweden.
