Cecil Woodburn-Bamberger CBE, the former chairman and managing director of Bamberger Ltd, died on July 30. He was 87.
MrWoodburn-Bamberger joined Louis Bamberger & Sons in 1933. In 1948, when Bamberger Ltd was formed, he became managing director and, in 1960, chairman and managing director.
The company expanded under his leadersip and he was high respected in the trade.
Mr Woodburn-Bamberger was president of the Timber Trade Benevolent Society in 1967 and a trustee from 1978-1985.
In September 2001 he attended a reunion lunch for the company.
He is survived by his wife and their two daughters.
