Fitzroy Joinery has acquired the £20m Raymond Baggaley group of companies, including Nottingham-based shopfitter Timber Tailors Ltd, in a major expansion.

The acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, also includes the companies MetalSidac, Systemec, plus EA Bitterling – all of Nottingham.

Nick St Aubyn, chairman and owner of Plymouth-based Fitzroy Joinery, said: “Combining the forces of the leading joinery companies in Plymouth and Nottingham will give our group an unrivalled spread of manufacturing and shopfitting customers thoughout the UK.”

Ray Baggaley has announced his retirement with the sale of the group.

MetalSidac and Sytemec supply shelving and showcase systems, while EA Bitterling makes products and services for abattoirs.
