Relatively unknown in the UK market until now, Helios provides industrial coating solutions for a vast array of industries and applications, both in liquid paint and powder coatings.
IAL’s marketing manager Jez Chapman told TTJ that wood coatings were a big part of the Helios business. The division includes the Aquavita system for exterior joinery and garden furniture, plus Lazurind – a complete line of stains based on organic solvents.
Mr Chapman said IAL would intitally be focusing on sales direct to manufacturers, but was always interested to hear from any companies who would like to distribute the various Helios product ranges.
Established in 1924, Helios is part of the Kansai Paint group, one of the fastest growing paint companies and is now recognised as being one of the world’s top ten paint manufacturers.
“This new agreement with Helios gives us access to a multitude of brands and specialist coatings that will allow us to service other parts of the coating industry,” said Llewelyn Mulder, MD of IAL.
IAL will be showcasing Helios at the Surface World Live show at the NEC from September 19-20.
