A builder’s guide to timber decking has been published by the Timber Decking Association (TDA).
The guide is based on specifications and technical information found in the TDA’s publications and codes of practice for professional designers and deck builders.
Subjects covered include planning approval, materials selection, basic principles of deck design and construction and the requirements for a balustrade.
The TDA recently had its new Code of Practice for raised timber decking approved by the NHBC and expanded into timber cladding.
