The annual TTJ Awards have become well established as the premier networking event for the timber industry and this year’s looks to be no exception.

Entries are already coming in for the judged categories, while voting is well under way for categories including Joinery Product Supplier of the Year.

James Latham has sponsored the Joinery Product Supplier of the Year category since it was added to the TTJ Awards back in 2016 and is continuing its support for 2019.

“James Latham has sponsored the Joinery Product Supplier of the Year award for the past three years and we are delighted to be supporting it again this year,” said Andrew Wright, managing director at James Latham.

“As one of the voted for categories, the Award recognises the company who has excelled in terms of product quality, range and customer service and we would like to wish everyone who has entered this year’s TTJ Awards the very best of luck.”

XL Joinery has also reprised its involvement with the TTJ Awards – by winning the Joinery Product Supplier of the Year three years running. And, as brand manager Jade Damarell said, the company is hoping that success will be repeated this year.

“We always look forward to the TTJ Awards and we’re absolutely thrilled to have been recognised with the Joinery Product Supplier of the Year award for the past three years,” she said.

“It’s something that means a great deal to all of us here at XL Joinery and we would like to thank everyone who has voted for us. We look forward to this year’s TTJ Awards and have our fingers crossed that we’re as successful as we have been previously.”

This year the voting process has been updated and moved to an online digital platform. This records votes from buyers of timber products who can nominate their suppliers of choice and leave a brief comment as to why they voted for them.

“Our aim is to help ensure the Awards reach the broadest possible voter audience and give more power to the elbow of timber suppliers by being able to mobilise their customer base to vote,” said Stephen Powney, TTJ group editor.

The message is clear – if customers appreciate your service and product quality, then let them know that voting is under way. The voting link and more information can be accessed via the TTJ Awards website (www.ttjonline.com/event/ttj-awards-2019). The closing date for the voted for categories is June 24.

The other voted for categories in the TTJ Awards are Softwood Trader of the Year, Hardwood Trader of the Year, Panels Trader of the Year, Structural Timber Systems Supplier of the Year, Small Timber Business of the Year, Timber Trader of the Year and, new for 2019, Timber Merchant of the Year.

Meanwhile, the judged categories this year are: Excellence in Marketing; Environmental Achievement; Smart Manufacturing; Timber Innovation (Innovative Product Development and Innovative University Timber Research); Career Development (under and over 25); Timber Interiors Fit Out; Public or Commercial Use of Timber in Construction; and Private Residential Use of Timber in Construction.

The finalists and winners will be announced at a lunchtime ceremony at the Hilton Bankside Hotel in London on September 13.
