The Scottish public is to have its say on how the nation’s 1.35 million ha of forests and woods should be developed during a series of public meetings.
Forestry Commission Scotland is holding the events between August 25 and September 7 as part of consultation for its updating of the Scottish Executive‘s Forestry Strategy.
The commission is also asking people to send in their comments and ideas by September 16. A draft strategy will then be written before a second round of consultation.
Public meetings will be held in Stirling, Dumfries, Easter Ross, Aberdeenshire and East Kilbride.
