TRADA has relaunched its annual £1,000 student prize to recognise excellence and innovation in the use of timber in construction.

The newly-named TRADA Timber in Construction Student Prize, open to university engineering and architecture students, will reward projects which demonstrate innovative and inspiring applications of timber within any type of structure, including restoration.

Entries must be received by May 26 and should include consideration of Eurocode EN 1995-1-1, EN 1995-1-2 and EN 1995-2.

Judging of the award, supported by wood. for good, will take place during July and winners will be announced on July 28.
