The British Woodworking Federation (BWF) is expecting record numbers at its 2008 members’ day thanks to a new structure featuring team-building exercises and specialist speakers.

The event, on June 13 at Ragley Hall, Warwickshire, will feature events such as archery, five-a-side football and a tug-of-war for the first time, before culminating in an evening barbecue in the grounds of Ragley House.

The BWF has even extended the event to partners, who can spend the day looking around the site and then join the evening’s social gathering.

The main session and seminars will address training in the industry, with Mike Marchant, from the UK’s wood industry standard setting body UK Woodchain, and Shamim Stokes, leadership development manager at Phones 4 U, so far confirmed for the main session.
