“Twist n’ shout”, “Woodoo” and “The Whale” are some of the more bizarre-named entries into Södra’s architecture competition for a tennis centre of the future.
Nearly 200 entries have been received by Södra, which is working with tennis legend Stefan Edberg to design a tennis venue made from timber.
Other more conventional named entries include “Södra Tennis”, “Topspin” and “Deuce I”.
The competition encourages architects to design a timber building combining interesting architecture with a cost-effective and low-energy design.
In running the event, Södra hopes to further develop high quality timber construction methods.
