Stora Enso has been recognised as one of the world’s most ethical companies.
The company is listed in the Ethisphere Institute’s “World’s Most Ethical Companies for 2010” which recognises commitment to ethical leadership, compliance practices and corporate social responsibility.
It is the third time Stora Enso has found itself on the list. Other companies include American Express, Nike, Ford, Starbucks and General Electric.
“Stora Enso’s promotion of a sound ethical environment shines within its industry and shows a clear understanding that operating under the highest standards for business behaviour goes beyond goodwill and lip-service and is intimately linked to performance and profitability,” said Alex Brigham, the institute’s executive director.
