The British Woodworking Federation’s (BWF) annual dinner is back on the industry calendar and will take place at the Churchill War Rooms in London on November 19.
The dinner, the BWF’s main social event of the year, will feature a speech from Phil Reed, director of the Churchill War Rooms, where second world war campaigns were masterminded by Winston Churchill.
The rooms, located beneath the treasury buildings in Whitehall, were closed in August 1945 and not opened for more than 36 years, in order to leave the site as a permanent memorial.
This year the dinner will include the presentation of the inaugural John Hedgecock Memorial Award, a technical excellence award for a company or individual in the joinery industry.
Tickets cost £90 + VAT. For more information visit www.bwf.org.uk
