This Code provides anyone with an interest in the safe design, installation and operation of timber treatment plants with bang up to date guidance said WPA chief executive, Gordon Ewbank.

“Our regulatory affairs team has created a publication that provides wood treaters with highly relevant and current information that complements and expands on WPA Guidance Note TW 12: Best Available Techniques (BAT) Conclusions for Timber Treatment Operations – UK Interpretational Guidance.”

Both documents are now available to download free of charge from www.thewpa.org.uk/resources-for-treated-wood

The WPA is backing up publication of these regulatory guidance documents with the offer of support for treaters who may require further information, guidance or training resources on any aspect of plant permitting and regulatory control.

Wood treaters are invited to get in touch by calling 01977 558274 or contact@thewpa.org.uk to request a call back from the WPA regulatory affairs adviser Neil Ryan.
