With ever increasing demand from both its merchant distributor and major joinery contractor clients, the company took advantage of the summer holidays to have the latest in vacuum priming and infrared drying technology installed.
Working closely with its main contractor for priming systems, Palmer Primer of Nottingham, a tailor made system of priming and infrared drying has been installed, increasing output by some 20%.
“We needed to add capacity to our limited production to meet the main market we service of specials, made to order and short run quantity requirements,” said Martin Cossington, managing director. “This was going to be very difficult with the lines in place and a complete new finishing line was then developed and installed.
“All MDF profile manufacturers are finding challenges with supply and processing and this has been the case for some months,” he continued. “We cannot see any fall in demand and need to continue to be of assistance to our main customer base in offering a flexible service of supply. This latest investment assists in some part to meet these demands now and for the foreseeable future.”
