Mr Luxton, who currently presents Building the Dream, Homes by the Sea and Homes by the Med on More 4 has presented numerous programmes on our architectural heritage and providing design advice across the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and in the US.
He is passionate about the environment and communicating his enthusiasm for sustainable architecture and eco-friendly design. Following a first class honours degree in Architecture at Oxford Brookes University, he completed an MA at the Royal College of Art in London and worked for a number of architecture practices before becoming a founding director of Free State in 2000, where projects included Electric Storm, a three month renewable energy event on London’s South Bank.
Since 2005 he has focused on sustainable housing. As Charlie Luxton Environmental Design he is currently working several sustainable housing projects in London, Wiltshire and the Cotswolds, where he now lives.
