Asearching survey of Scottish specifiers was undertaken prior to the design and launch of the Scottish Timber Trade Association‘s website.
The site – www.stta.org.uk – contains information on timber species, sources and end uses, timber specification, major British Standards applicable in specification and details about members and their specialisms.
A Links Page lists other timber organisations that provide advice to specifiers. STTA president Bruce Muirhead explained: ‘As a small organisation it was clear to us that we could not hope to provide all the information useful to specifiers on our site so we decided to act as a conduit to the information available from other timber related organisations.’
