The timber trade has been singled out for praise for its work in promoting sustainable forestry by George Foulkes, minister of state at the Scottish Office.
He told an invited gathering of timber trade figures at the House of Commons that the industry and the Timber Trade Federation have ‘an excellent record in setting high standards for the UK industry’.
