Dover Truss Roof Company, a Trussed Rafter Association member used around 400 trusses in a complex new roof at St Christopher’s Hospice for Children in Guildford, Surrey.
Due to the roof’s long spans of up to 12m and steep pitches, the main trusses were too large to be constructed as a single framework. Sectioning with top hat trusses allowed for easy assembly on site.
