UK firms are being offered an opportunity to invest in a wood processing factory and a printing plant/laminator in Montenegro.

The Montenegro government is selling shareholdings in the enterprises as part of its comprehensive reform programme.

The Velimir Jakic factory in Pljevlja comprises a sawmill, particleboard factory and joinery plant. Products include sawn timber, particleboard, wall panels, wooden floors, prefab houses and log cabins.

It is said to have 630 employees and an annual turnover of DM20m (£6.5m)

Dekor AD in Rozaje impregnates and prints decorative paper laminated onto particleboard and also makes school notebooks.
