What is said to be one of the most advanced panel lines in the UK has been commissioned at the Norfolk fac-tory of office furniture specialist Lee & Plumpton.
Among the machines installed at the 205,000ft² fac-tory are a BAZ CNC stationary processing centre from Homag AG, a Weeke BST500 through-feed boring machine, two highly-specified Weeke CNC machining centres, a Homag BAK CNC contour edge processor and a Homag combination edging line with Bargstedt feeding and off-stacking.
A Holzma angle plant dominates the production hall and consists of a Holzma CNC controlled angular system HFV33/X/38/27/L. The fully automatic angular system for accurate and splinter free dividing of raw and laminated panels, consists of a feeding system, rip saw, intermediate table and cross-cut saw.
