A campaign to promote Nordic solid pine flooring in the UK is about to be launched.

Wood for Good and Nordic First are behind the push, having ‘spotted a gap in the market’ between laminate and hardwood flooring.

The consumer awareness drive will centre on advertising across the UK, including double page spread advertisements in the Saturday Times Magazine and home interest magazines such as Country Living, House Beautiful, Homes & Gardens and Good Housekeeping.

The campaign will have a point of sale presence through retailers nationwide featuring two brochures – one about softwood flooring and the other giving instructions on how to lay it.

Wood for Good managing director Charles Trevor said: ‘Through the campaign we intend to educate consumers about the benefits of Nordic pine flooring and guide them through the buying, installation and aftercare process.’

Nordic First spokesperson Karen-Anne Bernie said: ‘It is going to be a major high profile campaign.’
