Combi multi-directional trucks have enabled James Latham plc to reduce aisle widths and increase the density of stock by 60% at its new Hemel Hempstead and Dudley depots.
The new 30,000ft² site at Hemel Hempstead, which is now the company’s head office, is racked to 8.3m high, allowing it to stock a wide range of products and sizes, including melamine panels, veneered MDF, Finnish birch plywood and Flamebreak products.
The Combi trucks can reach to select from the eighth rack high, utilising space and minimising damage by operating along guided rail systems.
