Temperate hardwood supplier John Boddy Timber has installed a grading line to help customers select wood in accurately defined grades.
The York-based company designed, built and installed the line itself to meet its own specification.
It says the line is an integral part of its operation and progresses its policy of encouraging customers to inspect and select their own timber.
Managing director Frank Boddy said: ‘All too often today companies are reluctant to allow customers the opportunity of inspecting and selecting their requirements. At John Boddy Timber we welcome customers to our mill, no matter how small or large their requirement may be.’
