Three UK builders have now been selected by Natural Resources Canada to construct Super E timber frame homes in this country.

Concept Timber Ltd of Melksham, Wiltshire, and Interhabs UK of Inverness join Sunley Estates Ltd to build the Canadian-engineered homes featuring the latest in energy-efficient design.

Sunley has started building the UK’s first Super E house, a four-bedroom detached property, at its Lacuna development in West Malling, Kent.

James Sunley, the company’s executive chairman, was joined by Christian Sammon, president of Canadian partner MIC-Alouette International Housing, for the recent start of construction. The house will be finished by April.
