The first Super E timber framed home to be built in the UK is taking shape.
The basic framework, complete with windows, doors and roof, was erected in just eight days at Sunley Homes‘ Lacuna development in West Malling, Kent. MIC-Alouette of Canada produced all the modular Super E panels and has been training Sunley’s subcontractors in construction techniques.
Super E, billed as the latest in energy-efficient housing, is a Canadian venture designed to make inroads in the growing UK timber housing market through partnerships between Canadian and UK builders.
A total of 25 Super E homes will be built at the Lacuna development.
