Finnforest UK-sponsored Boston United FC has dramatically secured promotion to the Football League by beating Hayes 2-0.
The match, which gave Boston the Nationwide Conference League championship, was broadcast live on Sky Sports 1 and received coverage in most national news bulletins, giving a boost to Finnforest whose logo appears on the club’s shirts and training tops.
Boston will now compete in Division Three of the Football League next season.
Finnforest began sponsoring Boston in 1999 when the previous sponsor pulled out just days before the start of the season. It has also provided cash and materials to help renovate the club stand and other facilities.
