More than 250 key people from the furniture and woodworking industries visited the showrooms, demonstration bays and training facilities at Homag UK’s new headquarters at Castle Donington last month.
The 20,000ft2 building was opened by Homag Group chairman Klaus Bukenberger on April 26 before a week-long open house. Guests from around the world included heads of Homag Group companies and of sales divisions from Canada, Denmark, France and Austria.
The demonstration facilities enable customers to see in action technology ranging from large Holzma beam saws to Weeke CNC machining centres, BAZ stationary processors and large Brandt edgebanders. A range of smaller machinery and equipment is permanently available for demonstration, as are Bütfering wide-belt sanders.
