The International Woodworking Machinery and Furniture Supply Fair (IWF 2002) has received 113 entries from 93 companies for the Challengers Distinguished Achievement Awards.
This represents the highest number of entries since 1992 and organisers say it indicates more companies are responding to the demand for innovative products and services.
The award challenges companies to develop revolutionary technology, materials, services or safety devices that advance the industry. Judging will take place at the trade show in Atlanta from August 22-25.
The fair, which is expected to attract visitors from more than 10,000 companies from 90 countries, will include a Technical Conference Programme, a New Product Showcase and the Design Emphasis student furniture design competition.
