Estonia’s largest forestry processing company Sylvester is reported to be investigating the possibility of constructing a timber mill in south-east Latvia.
The company is looking for a 25ha site near a railway and electricity supply. Sylvester already has a similar €17.6m mill in north eastern Latvia employing 20 people on each shift. A third is planned in the west of the country.
