Belgian woodworking machinery manufacturer New Vertongen has brought out versions of its Pentho Compact tenoner specially for the UK market.

The Puurs-based company, which supplies the timber window and door markets, has made UK versions of its Compact 3 and 4 machines in response to demand from the woodworking trade for a modern machine retaining a scribing spindle configuration.

Both models are now offered with cut off saw, top and bottom tenon heads and opposing top and bottom scribing spindles. The Compact 4 also has an extra vertical spindle as standard for comb and end jointing to give more flexibility.

The machines meet the latest regulations and are being sold by New Vertongen’s UK agent Gerry Lynch Woodworking Machinery. Prices start at £11,000.
