A report on the seizure of more than 1,000 illegal logs is being prepared for the Sabah government, Malayasia.
The trees, many said to be below the permitted girth of measurement, were felled inside the Benta Wawasan timber concession area in Luasong, Tawau, allegedly by three timber companies.
The government is considering cancelling logging permits, imposing compounds and prosecution against offenders.
